They aren't making them any more.

The mechanical cameras we have today are it. Almost no new one are being made. And existing ones wear out, are dropped, left in the garage where rust and fungus do their work, or simply thrown in the trash.

I work on cameras that I use myself. This means that I know how they handle in the field, and do overhauls and repairs that are centered on the best use.
